Recently Microsoft has released Windows 8 Consumer Preview . Which come with lots more changes , improvements as compared to previously released Developer Preview .
One of the biggest change is the removal of Start Button from taskbar . Without start button the Taskbar looks odd and new users found its difficult to open their favorite programs , which they can easily access with the help of Start Menu in previous versions of Windows.
But you can get a start menu back in Windows 8 Developer Preview by following these simple steps .

1. Right-click on Taskbar and select “Toolbars -> New toolbar…”.

2. It’ll open Browse dialog box. Now in the “Folder:” text box: paste following string
%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Press Enter and click on “Select folder” button.

3. Now you see Programs toolbar in Taskbar near the system tray.

That’s it , plain & simple . 😀

If you want to move it in left of Taskbar , just uncheck lock Taskbar & move it using a placeholder . Click and hold the drag-handle and move it .
