Microsoft has announced that they are going to release Windows 8 Developer Preview build to public at 8PM PDT tonight.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit editions will be available with a 64-bit (x64) build with development tools to build apps. The download will also include a suite of sample applications which are merely illustrations of potential apps, not apps that Microsoft intends to ship with Windows 8.
This is a developer preview release. Please note that you need to perform a clean install , as upgrade from Windows 7 installation is not supported. Microsoft confirms that they’ll be updating the release with various quality updates and drivers over the coming weeks / months . 🙂
